Course Information

Introduction

This 5-day course teaches practical skills for running safe, reliable facilities. Sessions focus on maintenance planning, vendor management, regulatory compliance, space and energy use, and emergency response. The format mixes short lectures, case work, and hands-on templates you can apply immediately.

Objectives

1. Create and implement a preventive maintenance program that prioritises assets by risk and cost.
2. Use a CMMS or asset-management tools to record assets, schedule and track work orders, and produce operational reports.
3. Draft vendor contracts and service level agreements, and run supplier selection and performance reviews.
4. Carry out compliance checks for HVAC, electrical, fire safety and health regulations, and prepare required documentation.
5. Develop and run a site emergency response and business-continuity drill, then update plans based on findings.
